Default Name that winch!

Is this a 8274? It is missing a few pieces but was wondering which model it is.

Nope! . . . Definitely not! . . . . I think you should sell it to me for the cost of scrap aluminum!

Especially since I know were you found it!

Okay, Seriously!

Yes it’s an 8274 you lucky guy! You’re missing the motor, solenoids, controller, clutch knob, and Clutch gear from what I can see.

Also check the cable, it should be 5/16” but in the pics it looks more like 3/8”

Check out Petersen’s Aug. 2006 issue page 110 for a motor upgrade to the 8274 – 50 series motor.

Exploded Part view for your serial number:

Other great links:

Somewhere I have other great info, and I could go on forever, but it’s all Googleable

Don't spend any money on it. Price out the cost of the parts you need before you buy anything.

You can probably find one that is a whole lot more complete and functioning for 500 or less.

I have the motor, the solenoid pack, and fairlead. The only thing that is missing is what ever covers the hole above the clutch in the first picture I think.

Its the freespool knob. A fork on the inside of the knob holds the little gear on the motor shaft. sliding in and out of free spool. I think there is a parts diagram on the Warn site. Just take note of the serial number break for parts.

I don't think there is a huge difference in price for these parts. Hardest thing is finding someone who knows how to take the order.

Find the parts listing from the Warn site and then email wil@nsor.com
