I have been presented with some concerns about the safty of my vehicle so I need to look into this. I took out my stock bucekt seats out of my explorer to replace them with 60/40 bench seats that were available as an option. They dirrectly bolt in using all the stock hardware. Do I need to have this inspected for my insurance and if so where would I go to do this and how much would it cost.

geez I hope not. I would have to do the same thing, as well as Pat, and I'm sure a few others.

Ya I have done it a few times and it was ok. never checked int see if it was legal but now I have been questioned so I am trying to get some sort of legal response. I have previously fabed new seat rails to get a different seat in, that I am sure would require some inspection. This one is a stock seat out of a ranger/explorer and bolting it it using existing hardware.
